Second Life headquarters office will soon be located in the Soheil region (formerly Strawberry), recently acquired from my friend Coolz0r Courier. Soheil is one of the English renderings of the Arabic/Persian word for the star Canopus, for which Canopus Research was named when the business was originally registered in Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA, RL in 1982. Lindens are Trying? Yes, I think so!

I have not been easy on the Linden's lately. Like many other Second Life residents and business people I find the recent unreliablity of the grid troublesome. The severity of the problems these past few weeks leads one to worry about the future of Second Life. Second Life and the Miraculous Cow

Having recently returned from the Virtual Worlds 2008 Conference in New York City, where I had only an old and pathetically slow laptop with lousy graphics, I was looking forward to coming home to my powerful, self-built desktop system with killer graphics and two displays - and being able actually to move and to do things in world in Second Life again. Is Linden Research Broken?

Canopus Research Inc. President, William F. Zachmann first met Philip Rosedale on November 10, 2007 at Cyberposium 13 at the Harvard Business School. Philip was one of the keynote speakers at the event (Ray Kurzweil and Walt Mossberg were the others).
