Ugotrade
About Me:
I have worked in many aspects of production, new media, art and technology. The thread through my career is an interest in combining conceptual thinking with creative production. I began my film career in special effects. My inspiration came from the biker, horror and sci-fi intellectuals of Roger Corman’s old studio on Venice Beach (the think tank for James Cameron et.al.). But, the focus of my independent work has been on how media and technology can play a positive role in social change.

I figure the more virtual places we connect, the more likely we are to meet in person some day. :-)

OK, I've been a little slow the past few days - I just realized that you're Tara5!

You? You have the single best blog there is addressing digital worlds. I'm amazed and fascinated, and have reading material for the next long while.

I think we have a philosophical disagreement- I think the greatest value of synthetic worlds is in *divergence,* rather than convergence - in creating better alternatives to the atomic world, rather than extending the atomic world's shortcomings and legacy systems into yet more commercial spaces.

But, I'd *love* to sit down and talk with you sometime!
