Virtual Reality Headset for the iPhone?

Courtesy of the Macstein blog, this news on a device from Boxfab that an iPhone can be attached to an iPhone for immersive virtual experiences. Sounds a little fishy, but conceptually very cool.

Hi Jack, I have added you to my friends list. There are of course some technical issues with blending mixed and real, but broadly speaking its getting along quite nicely. We have a technical platform which does just that at the moment, and were testing it in Cologne last year. Sure we had some problems, but overall things are coming together.

Drop me a line if you have some specifics you would like to discuss.

http://www.fit.fraunhofer.de/services/cvae_en.html . We (Fraunhofer FIT) are developing a mixed reality framework which we currently use within the project mentioned earlier, however it can also be used in other systems.
