Currently preparing a business plan for a transmedia entertainment property with the intention of cross platform storytelling via animated shorts, feature film, virtual world, games, and television broadcast.
If you use virtual worlds in your business, what is your primary use or intended use:
The primary use for the virtual world will be to allow users to enter and interact with the fictional world I've created. Storytelling will cross platforms, new adventures can be experienced online, the fictional world has enough diversity to inspire new content creation and branch off to gain momentum and a life of it's own.
Which virtual worlds platforms do you prefer:
I'm fairly new to the virtual world. I've played around in a few - second life, faketown, club penguin, Star Wars Galaxies. Newbie experience in them pretty much sucks from my point of view. Obviously Club Penguin was simple but I'm not a kid - it was very cute. The others I thought were somewhat difficult to get into. A big goal will be to make the word entertaining for newcomeers and web based so you don't have to deal with long downloads. I've been watching metaplace - I think that is the platform I'm going to go with - I'm just following their progress as I move deeper into pitch preparations.
