Thanks for your interest. The current $595 discount is good until the end of day this Friday. I'm afraid we cannot discount further due to our $ obligations in New York (dealing with the Unions there). The rate does increase after Friday so the best I can offer is to register by Friday to take advantage of the discount rate currently available.

Hi Santosh, thanks for getting in touch.
I have not actually met Grenville however i certainly have come across his work. SIT CRC is soon to become 'Smart Services CRC' and we are looking at a whole new suite of research projects. I will be working on VW"s from a social research perspective.
What are your research interests ? Perhpas we can meet. Tehre are quite a few locals I know working in this space. it'd be fun to have a get together...
Hi Mandy, I camre across your profile here. Are you working with Grenville at SIT CRC. I just happened to meet him a couple of weeks back on a related project. Would be keen to chat with you if you are interested in virtual worlds and emerging technologies. I am based at the University of Melbourne.

I think, over time, the applications and add-ons arising out of Facebook and other social networks, along with the increasing sophistication of neo-mapping, will eclipse the advebtures in Second Life....your thoughts?
Thanks for your message. I guess I'm concerned that SL is not up to it for corporate collaboration use because of lag, outages, etc. I'm building there, but am thinking that I may have to move off unless SL improves. What are your thoughts? This is something I struggle with all the time.
I started a company called VRWorkplace to bring geographically distributed workplaces together as if in person for work and play. I am a former IT outsourcing executive (US/India) and know this would have worked tremendously well to bridge the gaps in culture. I would be happy to be in touch. Best regards, Dave
Hi Mandy!
