Hi there.....I am looking to find a list or meet introductions to people or agencies who can help build and develop virtual worlds for media clients based in the UK and Europe.
If you know anyone or can recommend any companies that are in this space please let me know by emailing me at jondavis204@googlemail.com or post below.
Many thanks.
Yes this is seperate from second life.
We have an estimate of aprox 500 visitors to a single region of land. This is based on the amount of ram on the server and what attachments the avatar is using. If you build a world with many regions of land and multiple servers, you can design the heavy usage areas on seperate servers to allow more avatars. We have 100 land regions of public waterway on one server with 16 gig ram. And our meeting center is on a seperate server.
When you login to the central grid website click on the option "How to Connect" using the Second Life viewer program.
Once you connect to the Central Grid, you will be in the center of the grid.
I offer only construction/modelling services. Please visit my site
for Five working examples, directly on the first page.
The thumbnails are linked to browser based web3d worlds.
SoOOO DUDE,....... after this discussion, What are you going to do?
Have you made a choice? Did ANY of us here qualifiy? I mean...
that IS why you posted right?.... to find some talent HERE
and hire from HERE..right? or are you just pumping hot air?
To date I haven't made any choices although I have met some interesting businesses through this site and I am grateful for the introductions and connections it has helped me establish.
I am running some numbers right now and still keen to explore this area if the model works. Right now the sums are looking difficult but we'll see where we get too.
